Now What? The Workshop
2 Sessions
Monday, August 31
Thursday, September 3
12pm-12:45pm Eastern / 9am-9:45am Pacific
Who it’s for
Anyone who’s taken the “You have (or need) an admin, now what?” class and wants to actually put the framework into action, whether you’re still deciding who to hire or you already have someone on your team and need to backfill the Standards, Systems, and Support.
What it is
Two live, 45 minute working sessions, not another lecture. We sit down together and build the tools from class, step by step.
A small group format, so you get feedback on your specific situation instead of generic advice.
Ready to use templates that you’ll customize after the workshop and keep for your business.
Session 1: Setting Your Standards (45 minutes)
Build your mission, vision, and values, the standards that should guide every decision you make, including who you hire and how you manage them.
Set clear team expectations (responsiveness, professionalism, accountability, and more) so your admin knows exactly what constitutes “a great fit” on your team.
Session 2: Building Your Systems and Support (45 minutes)
Reviewing some of the systems that keep your standards consistent: a job responsibilities spreadsheet, a job description (plus a sample post), a work agreement, an onboarding checklist, and a review template for regular check ins.
Start your operations manual, the documented “how we do things” that lets your admin make decisions without asking you every five minutes, and keeps your business running even if they leave.
Talk through the support that keeps good admins around: coverage, mentoring, and the operational backup that turns a busy team into a well run one.
Additional Tools You’ll Leave With
A job responsibilities spreadsheet
A job description you can use right away
Job posting copy ready to publish
An onboarding checklist
An agreement template
A review template
An operations manual template
Format: Two 45 minute virtual sessions. Bring a laptop; we build live.
Registration is transferrable but not refundable. These sessions will be recorded, if you can’t make it in person. NOTE: These recordings are not to be shared. They are for the sole use of the registrant.
